Originating directly from the São Paulo region in Brazil, this cachaça uses traditional methods that enhance its quality and distinctive flavor. Velho Barreriro is produced by Indústrias Reunidas de Bebidas Tatuzinho (IRB), founded in 1950 in the city of Piracicaba, in the interior of São Paulo, with roots dating back to 1909.

Known for its double-distilled sugarcane juice, the brand is matured in wooden barrels of Brazilian wood, Jequitibá Rosa, before the second distillation. For this traditional cachaça, the spirit rests for six months before bottling. Velho Barreiro Gold is stored in barrels for three years and has a golden colour.

Launched in 2011, Velho Barreiro Diamond is a Top Premium cachaça, created from the traditional alembic cachaça blend, stored in barrels of oak and casks of Jequitibá-Rosa, and then the elegant Axel bottle produced in France.
