At the base of the Andean foothills, with excellent daytime-nighttime temperature swing of 20º to obtain quality grapes, the vineyard receives an annual rainfall of 700 mm, primarily in the winter months, with arid summers. These conditions create a vital balance between the vigour of the plants and the production of healthy grapes, cultivating wines with range, from robust profiles to crisp, fruity character. This especially favours the production of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, the main varieties planted in the valley.
Winemaker Ricardo Perez-Cruz has led his team for over 15 years in Chilean viticulture. His direction and involvement in projects in various valleys of Chile speaks to his comprehensive expertise in the growing features offered by each region in the country.
Based in Curicó for over a decade, he brings refined knowledge of the terroir, sub-climates and best grapes to cultivate. His experience working with prominent, recognized Chilean winemakers is a testament to his technical background & ability. These skills include developing a vast range of white and red wines for diverse markets, including sparkling wines using the traditional method.
